Yarn a long Sunday #6

top 100 crochet blogWelcome to  this Sunday’s yarn a long.  Firstly, thank you to all of you who took part last week…I have learnt some very cool crafty hacks.  I think one of my favourites was using dental floss on an aeroplane to cut thread instead of having your scissors confiscated  as suggested by @laurahoueltextiles over on Instagram…you should go and check her beautiful feed out…very talented!

So to this weeks yarn a long.

As it has been ‘Happy world wide knit in public day’ this week

I thought I would ask…Where is the strangest place you have knit, crochet, sewn, crafted?

I tend to end up hooking whilst the little ‘big’ Robins are doing their sports

At the skate park…

I am sure you can tell me of stranger places.  Let me know in the comments thread below.

xxxxx

Last weeks yarn a long is just here if you want to read or share your crafty hacks.  This series is also on Instagram @yarnyrobin

  1. On a motorcycle. Sometimes it is boring sitting behind my husband, so I thought I would try crocheting. It gave me something to do. It was a challenge. Made a simple dish cloth.

  2. I don’t think I’ve crocheted anywhere particularly strange… Maybe I’ll aim for that in the near future! But I’ve crocheted in bed, in parks, while sunbathing in my garden, on an aeroplane to India, on Indian trains, in airports, and of course, on my sofa !
I reckon I need to take crochet to the beach on my next holiday!

      1. My favourite bed to crochet in was on holiday in Cornwall where my husband and I rented a summerhouse that looked out over fields and the sea. It was all one room, so I could crochet in bed, still feel sociable and look out the huge windows to the amazing view!

  3. I don’t think I’ve crocheted anywhere strange, but I think the Saturday football dad’s thought I was strange at Christmas when I was crocheting my Terry’s chocolate orange cosies. I think it was the unopened chocolate orange on the seat next to me that made them wonder more than they actual crochet 😜
